Welfare Network

The Home Students Officer and International Students Officer shall be the Co-Chairs of one umbrella
Welfare Network which encompasses each of the following facets:
1. Accommodation
2. Transport
3. Security
4. Food
5. Health

Accommodation Network

1. Definition:
To focus on On-Site accommodation and where possible, off-site.
2. Network Committee members
a) Home Students Officer (Co-Chair)
b) International Students Officer (Co-Chair)
c) Head of accommodation network in the welfare Office (Vice-Chair)
d) Hall Representative (Tioman)
e) Hall Representative (Langkawi)
f) Hall Representative (Redang)
g) Hall Representative (Pangkor)
h) Hall Representative (Kapas)
i) Hall Representative (Perhentian)
j) Hall Representative (Rawa)
k) Hall Representative (Gemia)
l) Hall Representative (Mabul)
m) Hall Representative (Sipadan)
n) Hall Representative (Lankayan)
o) General secretary of the accommodation network in the welfare office
3. Frequency of meeting
(a) Committee shall meet once a month

Food Network

1. Definition
This network looks into all food concerns on campus. Variety of food, hygiene in cafeteria, reaching
out to external food suppliers are primary focus points.
2. Network Committee members

(c) Head of food network in the welfare Office (Vice-Chair)
(d) General Secretary of food network in the welfare office
(e) Committee member
3. Frequency of meeting
(a) Committee shall meet once a month

Transport Network

1. Definition
To monitor all transport services provided by the university and/or SA as well as to evaluate the
possibilities of offering other transport schemes and avenues.
2. Network Committee members

(b) International Students Officer (Co-Chair)
(c) Head of transport network in the welfare Office (Vice-Chair)
(d) General Secretary of transport network in the welfare office
(e) On campus representative
(f) Off campus representative

(a) Committee shall meet once a month

Security Network

1. Definition
To lobby and ensure a safe environment on campus. Where possible, off site security shall be
considered.
2. Network Committee members
(a) Home Students Officer (Co-Chair)
(b) International Students Officer (Co-Chair)
(c) Head of security network in the welfare Office (Vice-Chair)
(d) General Secretary of security network in the welfare office
(e) On campus representative
(f) Off campus representative
3. Frequency of meeting
(a) Committee shall meet once a month.

Health Network

1. Definition
The aim of this network is to mainly sensitize students about health issues. The first aid team shall fall
under the health network.
2. Network Committee members
(a) Home Students Officer (Co-Chair)
(b) International Students Officer (Co-Chair)
(c) Head of first aid team (Vice-Chair)
(d) Campaign manager
(e) Member
3. Frequency of meeting
(a) Committee shall meet once a month
