Nott’s Makers Club (NMC) was founded in the early February 2016 with a vision of cultivating a maker’s community that turns ideas into reality through learning, building, and sharing. It provides a platform for students from different backgrounds, department, and schools to connect in creation of an object/item/application that could bring changes and enhancement to the world and community.
Typical interest to be nurtured through NMC includes engineering orientated pursuits such as 3D Printing, electronics, robotics, and the use of CNC tools (metalworking, woodworking). The distinct difference of NMC with other engineering societies will be its focus on the generation of ideas, where creativity will be pursued in art & craft, and solutions to a particular problem, and lastly, turning them into reality.
